- To identify students who genuinely lack finance to pursue study
- To create resources, from among alumni and other sources to support such students
- To work out a mechanism to help them in such a manner that their self-esteem is preserved.
- To monitor the progress of the students regularly to see that they use the opportunity in a just manner.
- To see that a student passes all his exams well to be on his own feet in ensuing 4-5 years.
- To encourage such beneficiaries to help other needy students/people in life.
A need assessment analysis will be done by the Financial Assistance Committee of BMCAA. The Committee will also explore other avenues for financing such as the grants from the State Government or other Trusts.
Financial Assistance Modalities:Students support can be provided in the following ways:
- as full scholarship
- as “work scholarship” wherein a student may be assigned to work for a few hours every week for a task/activity suggested by the committee
- as an interest free loan, or a loan with a token interest of say 1% per year as simple interest.
Loan to be recovered once the student starts earning. The payment can be in monthly instalments over next 3 to 5 years.
All support must be in kind and not cash. The student fees, food bills, bills of books and educational material to be paid to billers by BMCAA. Students will not be given money directly to them.
For this purpose, the accountant of BMCAA may be assigned for all accounts related work.
